Datasport.it reports that Palermo defender Cesare Bovo is expecting a win against Catania who are six points behind them in the league standings.
The Rosanero are coming from a 2-0 defeat against Juventus and therefore a win in this derby game would boost the morale of the squad.
"We need a win to start the final rush of the season and move closer to that survival which is our minimum objective," explained the former Genoa player.
"Winning the three points at stake against Catania would be very important and would give great joy to our fans.
"The mental approach to the game will have a relevant role in such a clash in which on paper we start as favourites, but which hides a lot of danger."
Palermo are currently tied in eighth place with Atalanta thanks to their 36 points won in 25 games played, which leaves them four points away from their 40-point objective.
