Palermo defender Simon Kjaer, has been attracting the attention of all sorts of people in recent months - so much so that the Rosanero’s sporting director, Walter Sabatini, has had to wade in to defend his player.
Sabatini told Radio Kiss Kiss, “Kjaer will certainly be here next year as well.
“We have requests from all over Europe, and we know he has the raw material to become a real star, but he is aware that in order to mature, it is better that he stays here.”
The one time Palermo player, also spoke about the up coming derby and contract renewals for three of his side’s vital men, Fabrizio Miccoli, Fabio Simplicio and Mark Bresciano.
“At the moment we are going through the run-up to the derby with great intensity and determination as we always do.”
On new contracts, he stated, “There is a great understanding with all three of the player’s agents, and I don’t foresee any problems.”
