There's excellent news for Roma and their fans this morning as Francesco Totti is back and ready for action after a miracle overnight recovery following a big injury scare.
The Italian playmaker went down in pain at Trigoria on Friday afternoon as his right knee had swollen up again.
Initially, there were fears he would be out for several weeks, however, Totti underwent a rigorous examination during the evening and he has recovered from his problem.
Sky Sport Italia claim the player is at Trigoria this morning and he has been training as normal with the rest of the team. There have not been any problems reported regarding his knee, and he is looking fit to play in Sunday night's big game.
It's a massive boost for coach Luciano Spalletti, who will be without Simone Perrotta and could also be minus Daniele De Rossi. Roma are looking for further points this weekend to further cement themselves as challengers for a Champions League berth next season.
Totti is likely to start up front with Mirko Vucinic. There will be question marks hanging over Julio Baptista’s place in the side following his poor performance against Arsenal in the Champions League.
