Juventus chiefs have told coach Claudio Ranieri that he has €30 million to spend on finding a replacement for Pavel Nedved after the club's annual general meeting on Friday.
The Czech midfielder announced his retirement after the Champions League clash with Chelsea on Wednesday evening, forcing the Old Lady to consider their future plans.
Il Corriere Dello Sport claims Ranieri has been given extra cash for the summer transfer window as Juve were quiet during the January sales.
The coach will have €30m to spend and reports suggest that the money will be heading to Bayern Munich for French international Ribery. The 25-year-old has the quality to fill Nedved's role and he has proven in the past that he can play on either flank.
A number of alternative names have been linked with Juve, including Valencia ace David Silva, Werder Bremen’s Diego and Chelsea's Deco. However, Ribery appears to be the club’s top priority.
Juve will need to move in quickly as both Chelsea and Barcelona are thought to be after the midfielder. Trying to match the economic prowess of the Spanish and English clubs may prove difficult for the Bianconeri.
