Genoa midfielder Thiago Motta was quoted by Datasport.it as saying that his team’s target is to win all three points against Siena this weekend, in order to continue their pursuit of fourth place in Serie A.

However, he is cautious about the Bianconeri as he believes they will be a difficult opponent who can cause them trouble.

"Siena play with a lot of velocity and they tend to hurt you down the flanks," explained the former Barcelona player, before going to add, "Against Roma, for example, they did not deserve to lose at all.

"We go to Tuscany to play our own game. We want to take back home the full points, to continue chasing our [Champions League] dream.

"They are a tough team to beat and it will be a very open game. I'm happy with the season we are having. Few teams have a midfield which offers so many solutions."

Genoa are currently lying in fifth place in the standings with 44 points from 25 games, just one point behind Fiorentina in the coveted fourth spot.
