Estudiantes de La Plata were thrashed 3-0 by Cruzeiro in their Copa Libertadores group opener last week, and will be after the three points at home to Universitario de Sucre.
The Argentine side are in much need of a victory at the Cuidad de La Plata stadium, after suffering such a heavy defeat in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
"We should have returned home with a point, at least, because we played a good match, and we created more goal scoring opportunities than them. But this is football, and you have to put away your chances," affirmed Estudiantes goalkeeper Mariano Andujar.
"Now we have to win, and it doesn't matter by how many goals. We have to win, at home we have to be strong and try to pick up the three points in all the matches we play in La Plata. Then we will see what happens."
Estudiantes, who were losing finalists of the Copa Sudamericana last year, are hoping to continue to progress in the Copa Libertadores, but they know that they will have to be at their best to achieve this.
"To win the match we have to concentrate on the task ahead, and make sure we don't make any mistakes. We need to claim the three points to stay alive in the competition."
According to reports, Estudiantes will play in front of a near capacity crowd at the Cuidad de La Plata stadium. The stadium can fit up to 52,000 spectators.
