Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur go head-to-head at Wembley on Sunday in the 2009 League Cup Final.
Red Devils defender Jonny Evans is determined to take part in that fixture, even if it means having to play through the pain barrier.
The Northern Ireland international is yet to fully recover from an ankle injury and had to take pain-killing injections to play against Italian giants Inter in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Although the 21-year-old looked to be feeling some discomfort after the match at the San Siro, he is adamant he will go through the same to ensure he plays against Spurs.
"It's not nice to even think about it," ITV quote Evans as replying when asked how he might respond should he miss out on the game.
"The manager has tried to tell me if I miss it, it's no big thing, but I would be quite gutted.
"In a way, that game [against Inter] was more important because there weren't many other options.
"That won't be the case on Sunday. But hopefully the manager will allow me to have a few more injections."
