Inter sporting director Marco Branca has revealed the club are keen on Atletico Madrid star Sergio Aguero and Genoa hitman Diego Milito as he plans his side's summer transfer movements.
Reports earlier this week suggested the Nerazzurri would be willing to negotiate with the Spanish side over a possible deal. Aguero has not been used frequently by Abel Resino, Atleti’s new coach, leading to speculation that he could go elsewhere.
Inter have now stepped in to offer the Argentinean an option if he does decide to leave the Vicente Calderon.
"Like some others, [Aguero] has all the qualities that make him a top player; he is excellent," Branca told Il Corriere Dello Sport.
"Certain things are being monitored by people who go and see games for us every weekend, however, we have never asked a price or started a deal for Aguero.
"We are just thinking about the present for now."
Meanwhile, Milito has been outstanding for Genoa this term and his goals have helped fire the Grifoni into the European places. Branca admits the Argentine is another player who is also on the club's radar.
"Milito is a striker with excellent qualities and he is doing really well,” the Inter director explained.
