Reggina sporting director Gabriele Martino warned his players to be careful against a Fiorentina side who are still infuriated and eager to bounce back with a vengeance after the 1-1 draw against Ajax Amsterdam cost them a place in the UEFA Cup last-16.
Martino was quoted by Sportmediaset.it as saying that he is wary of the Viola’s habit of scoring in the final seconds of the games.
"Once it was called 'zona Cesarini', now I would call it 'zone Fiorentina', even though on Thursday the complete opposite happened against Ajax," declared the Reggio Calabria side's director to Radio Kiss Kiss.
"I expect an angry Fiorentina side on the pitch at the Granillo following their exit from the UEFA Cup, and considering the important players they have in the squad, we will have to be careful for 95 minutes or more, because even just one of their talented players can always change the game at any moment.
"However, our objective is to obtain full points from this game," he assured.
Reggina are desperate for all three points as they currently stand in bottom position with 17 points from 25 games played, six points away from the survival zone.
