According to a report in British tabloid newspaper The Daily Mail, Russian club Rubin Kazan have made a new offer for Everton's Steven Pienaar.
The Toffees apparently received a bid in the region of €5 million (£4.5m) for the South African midfielder during the January transfer window but rejected it straight away.
"Pienaar is at Everton, but he doesn't always play," Kazan head coach Kurban Berdyev was quoted as saying.
But Everton manager David Moyes paid no heed to these comments, stressing, "We're not intending to sell."
It seems that Berdyev is a big fan of the former Ajax and Borussia Dortmund star, encouraging the Russian Champions to increase their offer to almost €7m (£6.25m).
It is thought that Rubin are prepared to offer the 27-year-old as much as €50,000-a-week (£45,000) in wages but Everton are unlikely to sanction such a deal before the end of the season.
