Cameroon have demanded an improved bonus for the third round of the joint World Cup and Africa Cup of Nations qualifying tournament.
Each player is currently on 3 million CFA Franc (about $5,760) should they win a game. However, the team led by veteran defender Rigobert Song now want to each receive 5 million Franc (about $9,600).
The players simply described their present bonus as "insufficient". They argued that when compared to other national teams in Africa, this ranks very poorly.
They have therefore asked Head of State, Paul Biya, to intervene.
"The president should really study our agitations and make a decision before our first game in the next round of the qualifiers," said one of the players.
The Indomitable Lions first raised objections to their bonuses when they beat Guinea 3-1 in a friendly in Paris last month.
Cameroon are drawn in Group 1 of the World Cup qualifiers along with Morocco, Togo and Gabon.
They resume their campaign against Togo in Accra, Ghana, on March 28.
