Barca in danger Empty Barca in danger

Post by Admin Wed Jan 27, 2010 11:25 pm

Unable to sign the top four prospects from their cantera whose contracts - which all expire on June 30 - allowed them to begin negotiating with other teams from January 1, Barcelona are in very real danger of losing their best players to teams from the Premier League.

According to a report by Catalunya-based sports daily Sport, Barca have already received offers for their top four investments, Jeffren Suarez, Jonathan dos Santos, Gai Assulin, and Thiago, from Premiership sides Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham, Celtic, Everton, Blackburn Rovers and Spanish Primera side Sevilla, among others.

According to the report, Arsenal are very interested in the services of young Gai Assulin, who is being widely regarded as the next Lionel Messi, Tottenham have been coveting dos Santos, Chelsea have Thiago on their radar, and Sevilla, Everton, Celtic and Blackburn are among the clubs targeting Jeffren Suarez.

Having just secured contract extensions for Pep Guardiola and Dani Alves, Barcelona are said to next concentrate on tying Gerard Pique, a Barca youth product who already left the Camp Nou only to come back to Catalunya, to the club before pursuing the long-term commitments of their most promising home-grown stars.

Barcelona should find a solution for this issue asap Smile
